Welcome to KTTG, in Crestone Colorado.

Karma Thegsum Tashi Gomang was founded by His Holiness the XVI Gyalwa karmapa, head of the Kagyu order of Tibetan Buddhism. Located in the Sangre de Cristo mountains of southern Colorado, KTTG is dedicated to fulfill His Holiness's vision that this beautiful and remote location be a place where the Tibetan culture could survive. He envisioned a monastery, Tibetan Medical Center and a village of lay people. We are dedicated to making this vision a reality.

KTTG is an Affiliate Center of Karma Triyana Darmachakra, the North American Seat of His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorje.

A message from the director

The Tashi Gomang Stupa and Retreat Cabins are now 11 years old and in need of some repairs. Cracks have developed in the Stupa and water has damaged the paint.

Repairs made now will go a long way toward preserving the Stupa for the benefit of all beings.

We are asking for your help to preserve what we have, and help us move forward with our mission. Please visit the donations page to make a secure online gift.
